Who is Gene Works?
What we do…
Its hard to summarise all we do in one line, but lets give it a go….
Gene Works is a crowd-funded charity that researches genetic engineering to help people with Intellectual Disabilities while also building education resources to help people today with their learning and communication.
Gene Works is a unique charity that is funded via donations from people like you. We ask that anyone and everyone who can afford a few Pounds, Dollars, Euros, or Yen a month give to Gene Works on a monthly subscription basis. This donation means that you are crowdfunding the creation of a world-leading genetic research foundation that is using the cutting edge of genetic science to detect and treat conditions affecting potentially millions of people worldwide.
We don’t stop there!
Our team is also looking at unique and novel ways of applying current medications to different conditions than they were originally intended, a practice known as “cross purposing” to aid people with intellectual disabilities, sensory processing disorders, and social anxiety.
As you know,
Pharmaceutical companies are amongst some of the wealthiest companies in the world, and success in our research work will mean that a healthy revenue will be established. This is where Gene Works is different from the rest, as we want to share that success back with our monthly subscription donors, the people who crowd-funded Gene Works. Our intention is to thank our donors with up to three times their original donation.
And if that didn’t keep us busy!
We also dedicate our time to helping and supporting people with intellectual disabilities and learning disabilities with FREE online digital educational materials, how-to guides, and sharing ideas and techniques as we are strong believers in early intervention with a goal of helping loved ones achieve their potential and hopefully as much independence in later life as is safe thanks to early practices and routine.
Our team,
The team Gene Works is made up of medical professionals with fantastic educational backgrounds, private sector business professionals with proven success records, education experts with drive and a little bit of magic up their sleeves. Many of the team are Mums, Dads, Sisters, Brothers, Aunties, Uncles, Cousins, or friends with someone with a learning disability who wants to share their skills. The team is full of variety and years of experience, the team is Gene Works biggest strength, and we all have one thing in common…
